Valves Correspondence Workshop

Course Description

This workshop will enhance your knowledge of valves used in the treatment plant, distribution and collection systems. Students will examine cut a-ways of pressure-reducing and other valves.  Topics covered include:

 

• Introduction to valves

• Shutoff and Flow Control Valves

• Specialized Valves

• Valve Boxes and Valve Vaults

• Valve Operation

• Valve Maintenance

• Fire Hydrants

 

How does this work?

• A Packet will be mailed to you containing workbooks and quizzes.

• Students will also be given instructions to go to a dropbox.

 

The Drop Box Will Contain

• Recordings of an instructor teaching from a PowerPoint slide shows.

 

How do I get my contact hours? As soon as payment is received and submitted quizzes are graded with a 70% or more, we will submit a roster report.
